- Ready for SolidEdge V19
- Ready for SolidEdge V18
- Malformed Files are detected carefully. Files with less than 50 extra chars at the end are automatically salvaged as if happens often due to translation issues.
- New switches allow to filter in or out Skin, Solids, Volumes, Wireframe, Ditto. When Dittos are filtered out all Solids, Skins and Wireframes referenced by the ditto will not be read either.
- Batch Translation is available to automate CATIA2SolidEdge translations. Download the batch translator and follow installation guidelines.
- Filters on models, filename cane be define with the REGEX syntax. This very powerfull syntax widely used in the Unix world allow very precise filters. To activate this feature set UseRegEx=true where the patterns are defined. This will apply to both Patterns and ExcludedPatterns
- Support for CATIA files coming from mainframe with EBCDIC Strings and non IEEE floats. Quite rare but may happen.
- TrackFace supports a list of faces or selections
- Wireframe entities are now loaded as Sketch or wireframe entities in SolidEdge
- Three flags for supporting RSPara
- Ready for SolidEdge V17
- Ready for SolidEdge V16
- Improved scanning for workspace and sets. All parts in the original model are now in the output.
- Support for .model files written by CATIA V5 and CATIA V4.2.4
- New enhanced licensing system. We improved the system to support software locks, temporary licences and easier registration. The version requires a new unlock code. If you are under maintenance you should request it at support@radialsoft.com.
- CATIA2SolidEdge now reads CATIA entities of type SkinD.
- Cancellation during the translation of the CATIA file is possible.
- Simplification of the registration with one single dialog.
- Improvement of the progress dialog.
- Improved handling of errors and exceptions.
- CATIA files with the ".exp" extension can be imported directly using SolidEdge' file open menu.
- CATIA part size limitation (~40 Mb) is now removed.
- CATIA2SolidEdge now supports assemblies made of MockUp solids.
- CATIA2SolidEdge now reads CATIA MockUp Solids (tessellated solids).
- Online help available from inside SolidEdge.
- Support for multiples configurations for Options setting corresponding to your various types of CATIA parts.
Various options let you decide what kind of entities are to be translated, in particular, hidden entities, isolated surfaces or MockUp Solids. The CATIA2SolidEdge options settings are improved. Multiple configurations corresponding to each CATIA part type can be defined.
- Use the CATIA color of the part if defined.
- Does not require a CATIA License.
- Protection scheme based on Ethernet board Mac Address, CAD Software SerialNumber or programmatic dongle.
- Support for CATIA parts defined with code page type IBM370 (EBCDIC).
- During the reading of assemblies, the current component is closed before starting the conversion of the next component so that only the top-level assembly is open at the end of the conversion. This reduces memory usage and increase reliability.
- Support for CATIA parts defined in inches or millimeters. You also can define your own custom scale factor.
- Easy and safe installation procedure based on self-extracting file.
- Powered by the RadialSoft OLEDM BREP engine RSGTModel, CATIA2SolidEdge repairs and adjusts CATIA geometry to obtain a useable and well-defined SolidEdge parts (Imported Solids).
- Reading of Lines, Circles, Planes, Cylinders and Cones without any conversion. The performances of SolidEdge are improved with that kind of models. Also you can ask for the axis and other measures on the part.
- Only the top-level assembly is open at the end of the conversion.
- Assemblies are translated as SolidEdge assemblies and the components are located as defined in CATIA even if the transformation used in CATIA is a mirror.
- Parts are shared in assemblies when shared in CATIA.
- Options of CATIA2SolidEdge are available through the menu and the toolbar. Appearance of the toolbar can be customized to rearrange the icons.
- CATIA name can optionally be used for assembly components and parts.
